Axel Brewers Hill Pool Incident Successfully Resolved – No Structural Damage Detected

Baltimore, MD – [September 26, 2024] – Axel Brewers Hill has announced that the recent pool leak incident from earlier this month did not cause any structural damage to the building. Following the event, Axel Brewers Hill worked swiftly with structural engineers, the pool company, the Baltimore City Fire Department, and local inspectors to assess the cause, impact, and appropriate remedies. Thanks to the superior quality of the building's structure and the pool vault, which performed flawlessly, there are no lasting effects from the incident.

Nicholas J. Palumbo, P.E., Sr. Project Manager at Building Envelope Consultants & Scientists (BECS), confirmed, “Although the pool shell had been lifted from its original position, both BECS and the Structural Engineer of Record found no visible signs of damage to the primary structure where accessible. BECS has concluded that the pool failure did not impact the integrity of the primary building structure, and the building remains safe for occupancy.”
